-New oval port AMC heads
- New 96mm pistons and cylinders
- 71mm German forged crank
- Rebuilt German forged connecting rods
- All new German bearings,
- German gaskets and selaent used throughout.
- New eagle torque special camshaft (CB2205),
- New lifters (mechanical)
- New oil cooler,
- Late model 228mm flywheel (72-75 years will require a new clutch).
- Approx. 110 HP.

More complete than other rebuilds on the market. This engine is specifically designed for a VW bus (1972-78) to be used with carburation (Kadron 40-44 or Weber 40-44 style). This will NOT work with stock VW fuel injection or stock VW Solex carburation. A mechanical advance distributor is recommended. An electric, low pressure fuel pump is required. A 228mm clutch kit is required.


We offer a 1 year warranty to the original purchaser, as long as it is installed with all the original VW cooling tin, and installed by a professional. Total timing and fuel mixture must be verified at the time of install. Oil used must contain a Zinc additive, if in doubt we can make a recommendation for you. We want these engines to last a lifetime, as you would expect. Incorrect installation and setup can lead to failures, which are easily avoided.

A $1000 Core charge applies on top of the price listed. Please note the trade in value for 1700cc is $400, and and an 1800cc is $475.
